Ah, love in the afternoon!
For years, I’ve been tuning in to see the lives and loves of their favorite characters unfold on the daytime soap operas. For me the 80’s and 90’s were the golden age of soaps, with decade offering the most provocative storylines, glamorous settings and complicated romances, while continuing to supply the plot twists that I’ve come to enjoy so much. Below is a list of my favorite soap opera couples. These are fun to watch after some action packed sports betting games via บาคาร่าsaUFABET168 แทงบาคาร่าไม่มีขั้นต่ำเว็บตรง.
Josh & Reva (Guiding Light): This oft-married, and just as oft-divorced couples split and had their various adventures, but always wound up back together
Sonny & Carly (General Hospital): Bad girl Carly Roberts married into the mob when she hooked up with local mobster Sonny Corinthos. They have a connection that is not easily broken; Even though they’re not together anymore, they’re still watching each other’s backs.
Patch & Kayla (Days of Our Lives): My favorite daytime couple, this was the story of Beauty & the Beast. She was from one of Salem’s most prominent families; he was a thug from the wrong side of the tracks. Once they got together…
Ridge & Brooke (The Bold & the Beautiful): I can’t figure out this love story. To date, Brooke has been married to Ridge’s father, his brother and half brother, but Ridge just cannot get her out of his system.
Victor & Nikki (The Young & The Restless): Cosmetics mogul Victor Newman is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. But despite all his bluster, it’s his wife, the stripper- turned- socialite Nikki that really calls the shots.
Holden & Lily (As the World Turns): The stable hand and the uptown girl, it seemed like no one could come between them (even though people were constantly trying).
Alan & Monica (General Hospital): When the Quartermaines mess up, they mess up in a big way. In the 70’s Alan tried to kill Monica for having an affair with a fellow doctor. In the 80’s Monica had an affair with her nephew. Then in the 90’s Alan returned the favor by leaving her for the town troublemaker, Lucy Coe.
Dorian & David (One Life to Live): It’s no easy task to get into Dorian Lord’s heart, but resident con man David Vickers managed to work his way in. It’s too bad it didn’t last- these two seemed to have genuine feelings for each other.
Viki & Dorian (One Life to Live): They’re not a traditional romantic couple. They’re not even friendly to each other, but Viki, and her one-time stepmother and sometime romantic rival Dorian can never seem to get away from each other.
Luke & Laura Spencer (General Hospital): Probably the most popular couple in daytime soap opera history. This couple gave you everything- adventure, family drama, and secrets. They were so popular that Liz Taylor asked to have a part written so she could attend their wedding!!
